Roxanne Carnegie is a Native Floridian, born in St. Petersburg, Florida.  Roxanne is a Veteran, having served in the United States Marine Corps as part of the Inspector Instructor Staff of the 4th Assault Amphibian Battalion located in Tampa, Florida.  While serving, she attended and received her Associate in Arts degree from St. Petersburg Jr. College.

She began her legal career as a receptionist, learning and making her way to paralegal and, eventually, office manager.  After receiving her A.A., she attended the University of South Florida, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree.  Roxanne then went on to obtain a Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law in 2002.

Roxanne’s law school experience was busy, exciting, and full.  She clerked for the Honorable Marvin Gillman, County Court Judge in Miami; and the Honorable Maynard Gross, Circuit Court Judge, who presided over the 2001 divorce proceedings regarding three-time Wimbledon champion, Boris Becker.   She also clerked in the Homicide Division of the Broward County State Attorney’s Office, under one of Florida’s longest-serving state attorneys, and one of the longest-serving elected prosecutors in U.S. history, Michael J. Satz, under the tutelage of Chief Assistant State Attorney, Charles “Chuck” Morton.  When Roxanne wasn’t clerking, she was having fun enjoying getting to know the Miami and Naples areas.  Roxanne finished her final year in law school participating in a clerkship in Century City, California, under distinguished attorney Robert L. Shapiro, at the law firm of Christiansen, Miller, Fink, Weil and Shapiro, working on high-profile and international cases.

Roxanne has been a practicing attorney since 2003.  Upon graduation from law school, she immediately started her own firm, practicing Family Law, Personal Injury, Bankruptcy, Social Security Disability, and Community Association law.  She joined Youngblood Law Firm in 2018 and handles Personal Injury, Wrongful Death, NICA, and Medical Malpractice cases.  She is driven, hard-working, compassionate, and has excellent problem-solving skills.  Roxanne is an active member of the Florida Bar, admitted to all Florida state courts, and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.  She is currently one of the lead trial attorneys for the West Coast division of Youngblood Law Firm, focusing on cases in the southwest part of Florida.  Roxanne resides in northwest Cape Coral, Florida, where she is a member of the Northwest Cape Coral Neighborhood Association.
